They are known for their steady design philosophy, but this time they are doing something really very interesting. The PEN E-Px series is an unforgettable hit for Olympus, adding another masterpiece to this series named PEN E-P5 has opened doors for the company to win yet another “Best camera of the year” award.

Olympus PEN E-P5 is basically the successor of E-P4 but it includes many of the features present in award winning OM-D E-M5 where ‘5-axis’ in-body stabilization now comes with automatic panning detection. Being the successor of E-P4, it does include most of the features from predecessors, but with dozens of updates. Controls have been re-arranged, where there are no thumb roller and tiny rear dial; there are ‘proper’ rear and front dial.

Noise control of this camera is great (average Delta E of 7.9); photo quality is outstanding. It does lack extensive weather-sealing feature which was present in OM-D, but that doesn’t take anything away from it. Olympus E-P5 is an ideal digital camera for burst shooting.
