Everything is right about this ultrabook, except for its high price, which is only 95% justifiable. But unexpectedly it is the best SSD (Solid State Drive) ultrabook in this range.

Toshiba Portege Z930 shares most of its DNA with Z830. The magnesium alloy chassis lends a lot of strength to the overall design to the machine. Like its predecessor, Portege Z930 is a great performer. The machine looks attractive with a non-reflective display. The keyboard is comfortable to use, but you need to be careful while type as it response a bit quicker than other keyboards. Touch-pad is good as well; scroll also has a good response.

intel i5 3rd generation processor, 128GB SSD

Powered by Intel® Core™ i5 3427U processor clocked at 1.8GHZ, Toshiba Portege Z930 comes with 128 GB SSD which is responsible up to 50% of its high price. When you expend around INR 96000 for an ultrabook, you expect it have at least 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and 2 USB 3.0 ports. But Z930 just have 6GB RAM with a single USB 3.0 slot. Well, these reasons make “Lenovo X1 Carbon” a close competitor. Another drawback we have noticed is that most of the ports other than 3.1mm ports are located behind the screen. This adversely affects the portability of the machine. If you can overlook those limitations then you can’t get anything better than Z930.

Toshiba Portege Z930 doesn’t have a dedicated graphics memory. It comes with Intel HD 4000. Other features/specifications of Z930 include 2 USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI and one SD card slot. Z930 comes with Windows 8 (64-bit).
