All About Sony Xperia Tablet Z

Water Resistant Tablet, Xperia Tablet Z

Price: Rs. 46,990

Look-wise stylish, Sony Xperia Tablet Z is even thinner than the smartphone Xperia Z. One and only 10.1 inch Anroidtablet to launch this year, this tablet has ports all covered within a flap (mainly microUSB, microSD and Sim slots). With a thickness of 6.9mm and smooth edges, Xperia Tablet looks simply brilliant. The orientation of USB ports and power-button are similar to the Xperia Z smartphone. Tablet Z comes with two stereo speakers at the bottom end and one more which work only if you enable “S-Force Front 3D Surround” features. The LED-backlit LCD display supports 1920 x 1200 resolution which offers a pixel density of 224ppi.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a tri-band 3G and a quad-band GSMslate which even supportsLTE but without any calling functionality. Other features of Tablet Z include 8.1 megapixel rear camera, Bluetooth v4.0, NFC (Near Field Communication), GLONASS and dual band Wi-Fi. Tablet Z just weighs 496 grams and has a quad-core 1.5 Ghz processor with 1 GB RAM.

Ultra-thin Tablet

Sony Xperia Tablet Z is overall an expensive tablet. When talking about the audio performance of this tablet, unlike other Sony products, the sound quality isn’t good; those stereo speakers just provide a louder sound. The performance of 8.1 megapixel camera is just average; even a little zooming distorts the image. 6000mAh battery also doesn’t lasts for long when compared to other tablet of this range. Coming to the video resolution section, Tablet Z offers a pixel density of 224ppi which is less than 264ppi of Apple’s new iPad of similar cost. The attractive look with IP55/57 certification, IR blaster and sharp screen, are the only cause for which you would like to purchase this tablet; otherwise an expensive deal with 32GB 4th Gen iPad with 3G is a better option.
