Play Tekken 6 on LAN (offline)

Play Tekken 6 and Tekken 5 dark resurrection on LAN on a Windows PC with the use of LAN wire

 

 

Today I am going to tell you “How to Play Tekken 6 and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection via LAN” on a windows 7, windows 8 or windows 8.1 PC/laptop; i.e. you need not to have any internet connection to play these games on LAN. Playing Tekken 6 or Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection on LAN is little tricky, so I request you all to follow each step carefully.

Make sure that you already have PPSSPP 0.9.9.1 and know how to play Tekken 6 or Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection on PC/Laptop. If not, you can visit this link http://gadgetultra.com/psp-games-pc/ to learn that.

First of all you need to have following things:

PPSSPP v1.4 is out check out the best settings at http://gadgetultra.com/ppsspp1-4-settings/

  1. At least two Windows 7, windows 8 or Windows 8.1 laptops or PC.
  2. PPSSPP 1.0.1 or higher
  3. Tekken 6 or Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ISO or CSO
  4. LAN Cable

Now carefully follow the following steps and do not forget to read “Note” at the end of this article:

Step 1: Turn off the Wi-Fi or turn Airplane mode on of your laptop (to avoid any IP conflict).

Step 2: Insert LAN wire into the Ethernet port of both the laptops.

Step 3: Open “Network and Sharing Center” (you can open it via control panel) and click on “Change advance sharing settings”.

Step 4: Inside “Change advance sharing settings”:

  • Turn on Network Discovery.
  • Tick on “Turn on sharing so any one with network access can read and write files in the public folder”.
  • Click on “Choose media streaming options” and then turn on media streaming.

 

Step 5: Open “Command Prompt” and type “ipconfig/all” and press enter.

Step 6: Now look for “Ethernet adapter Ethernet” and copy the “Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address” which usually starts with 169.

Step 7: Now run PPSSPPwindows64 as administrator, and click on “Settings” then on “System”

Step 8: Now un-tick on “Fast memory (unstable) and tick on “Enable networking/WLAN (beta, may break games)”

Step 9: Put the “Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address” that you discovered in Step 6 at “Change proAdhocServer IP address”.

Step 10: Tell your friend who has another laptop, to copy that same “Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address” into at “Change proAdhocServer IP address”.

Step 11: Close PPSSPP and  start it as an admin once again.

Step 12: Enter into the “Battle Lobby”.

Step 13: Tell your friend to start PPSSPP in his laptop and enter into the “Battle LobbY”.

Note:

  1. Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 and Step 4 is mandatory for both the laptops/PC.
  2. Step 5 and Step 6 should be carried on either one of the two laptops and the same “Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address” should be placed at “Change proAdhocServer IP address” on both the laptops/PC.
  3. You may try to turn off your window’s or antivirus firewall
  4. Even after following the Note number 4, you are not able to play tekken 6 on LAN, then you need to update you windows at least once.
  5. It is not necessary that both the laptops have same Operating System; one laptop can have Window 7 another can have Windows 8 or 8.1 and so on.

6.You need to run PPSSPP with administrative privilege.

7.Keep the charger plugged in your laptops while playing these games to avoid any lags.

8. Read Note 2 once again!

9. You might see the same character alias in the battle lobby as yours because you have copied the same ppsspp folder (which contain memstick folderin both the laptops. It is highly recommended to download ppsspp software from ppsspp.org separately on both the laptops.
