Price: $899.99 (Rs. 55,750/- approx. excluding taxes)

So much of 4K LED televisions, with not much of 4K videos to play. Well, this gadget was much awaited. Panasonic is going to release its first digital camera named “Lumix FZ1000” which is capable of recording 4K Ultra HD videos. Price tag of $899.99, the Lumix FZ1000 will be released in the last week of July this year, and it is expected to come to Indian stores on September 2014.

4K is a video resolution standard about four times the Full HD resolution (i.e. four times of 1080p), and the devices to play this resolution are yet very expensive, but this is a good beginning. The Lumix FZ1000 packs in 1-inch 20 Mega-Pixel CMOS sensor which provides great performance in low-light conditions. The new “Venus” engine is master of multiple noise reduction in this device. The 25-400mm/2.8-4 Lecia lens on the Lumix FZ1000 has 5 aspheric elements that control distortion and 4 ED elements; which is controlled via 5-axis system. Announced as Lumix FZ1000 “Compact” camera by Panasonic, this digital device is not that small.

The 3-inch LCD screen of FZ1000 can rotate 280 degrees in vertical direction and 180 degree to each side. Lecia lens can lock focus in 0.17 seconds at 400mm. Lumix FZ1000 features a burst mode which supports up to 12 shots per second.

Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 sports some smart filters scene presets and Instagram-like filters. This is surely a good camera for the beginners as well; it comes with all the other advance features that is seen in the digital cameras of today, like NFC and Wi-Fi. The only thing which is pulling back, that FZ1000 is capable of recording 4K videos at 30 frames per second, whereas the Full HD videos are recorded at 60fps. That could be the reason of its low price; will it be able to provide a good value for money?? That time will tell, for now it is a new beginning towards 4K videos.
