Indian manufacturer Micromax recently launched its new flag device i.e. Micromax Canvas Turbo (A250) which is their first full HD smartphone. This time Micromax is backing up the launch of its smartphone with high level marketing campaign by featuring Wolverine star Hugh Jackman. But, can Micromax canvas turbo really juggle the market that we will find out in our review.
Talking about its design Canvas turbo looks very attractive. The body of the phone is made up of plastic type which company tries to give look like metal finish, but it feels like premium solid device. On the right side of the device there is a power /lock key and the volume rocker, and two micro sim slots on the left side of the device. The micro USB port is on the top while 3.5 mm Jack is on the bottom of the device. On the front side it has 5 megapixel camera for video calling. The back of Canvas Turbo is non -removable aluminum cover which has two plastic strips one on the top and other one on the bottom. On the top of its back it has 13 megapixel Rear camera with big LED flash.
Canvas turbo has 5.0 inches IPS LCD multitouch display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels having 441 pixel density.
The Micromax Canvas turbo is powered with the latest mediaTek MT6589T quad core processor having clock speed of 1.5 GHz which is supported by 2 GB RAM and having internal memory of 16 GB from which around 13 GB is only available to user. It runs on android recent version 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Canvas Turbo has non removable 2000mah battery which is quite less as it has a full HD display.
These are the specs of this new flagship device but there are also some cons of this device:
Since it has latest processor with enough GB of RAM the processing is quite slow means if you are running multiple apps at a time like games, messaging and music then the device will lag and sometimes it will hang also. The camera quality is not up to the mark means on paper is has 13 Megapixel camera but the picture quality is like 8 megapixel or sometimes only 5 megapixel. There is no external storage for this device and the worst thing about this device is its battery life, which will give you backup only up to 7-8 hours.
