All About Lucy
Sir Albert Einstein used more than 10% of his brain and “E=mc2” became a culture. What if a person uses full 100% of his brain?? Well, written & directed by “Luc Besson”, “Lucy” is a story of a Taiwan girl who has become capable of using 100% of her brain. Basically a science-fiction, “Lucy” is a superhero film which casts “Scarlett Johansson” into the lead role.
This is a world full of drug addicts, mobs, street gangs, rapists and corrupt cops. Lucy (Scarlett Johansson) is a drug mule who is injected with a drug that enhances her abilities, transforming her into a superhuman that is capable of absorbing information instantly, moving objects without even touching them, changing the direction of bullet shots, etc.
Packed in with action, this movie presents Scarlett Johansson as super-heroine for the first time. Most of the shooting took place in Paris and Taipei, Taiwan. Lucy has a running of 89 minutes. Interestingly, this is not the first movie based on 10% brain myth; there were several movies in the past such as “Limitless”, “Flight of the Navigator”, etc. which depicted 10% brain myth. In actual, the 10% limit of brain usage by humans is still a debatable topic.
Other important characters of the movie are Morgan Freeman (who plays role of a professor), Choi Min-sik, Amr Waked, Pilou Asbaek, Mason Lee and Analeigh Tipton. This film has the highest budget in the history of EuropaCorp productions. Lucy will be distributed by Universal Picture and has a release due on July 25th in USA and August 6th 2014 in France.
