Finally the successor of most successful Lamborghini, Gallardo is revealed; the Huracan will make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show this year; where Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Suada Corse will remain the last iteration to Gallardo series.
The Italian car makers “Lamborghini” is known for making supercars that out of this world and the Huracan is a testament to that fact. In a similar passion like Veneno or Gallardo itself, the new Lambo is named after a fighting bull of Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed named Huracan. Huracan fought bravely in Alicante in August 1879 and popular for his extraordinary courage and sense of attack.
The successor of Lamborghini Gallardo has to be exceptional in design. The Huracan does feature a revolutionary design. This new Lambo incorporates the sharp design elements from the Aventador and the Veneno, while also carrying design language of the Gallardo such as their trade-mark scissor doors.
Powered by 5.2 liter V10 engine (that delivers a maximum power of 448 kW/610 HP at 8,250 RPM) the Huracan features Lamborghini’s new “Iniezione Diretta Stratificata” gasoline injection. Huracan has an outstanding acceleration and can do 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds (and up to 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds) from rest. This supercar has a top speed over 325 km/h.
Huracan has a better driving dynamics than any other Lambo, well, thanks to “Lamborghini Doppia Frizone” which is a new 7-speed dual clutch transmission (coupled with 4WD system). There are various driving assisting tools present in this car along with three different dynamic set-ups: Strada, Sport and Corsa. However carbon-ceramic brakes remain unmodified in this new monster.
Lamborghini Huracan have remarkable interior as well, mainly dominated by an innovative cockpit. The seats are Nappa leather covered. The 12.3 inch full-color configurable TFT instrument panel is very attractive; it does provide all the useful information (like navigation maps, etc.) for driver.
Lamborghini’s have always been audacious with their design and with its sharp edges; this car is no less audacious. Huracan’s new hybrid chassis consists of integrated structure of carbon and aluminum elements. Huracan does carry the soul of Gallardo and Mercielago, the back almost looks the same. Although this time, the rear is much flatter than most Lambos we’ve seen and it looks great.
Will Huracan be able to repeat the success story of Gallardo? That time will tell, but right now the fans are getting mad about this car.
