All About Canon PowerShot A2500

It is an entry level point and shoot digital camera. With looks similar to Canon A2400, Canon A2500 is a 16.0 megapixel camera without optical image stabilization. Focal length of 28-140mm, Canon A2500 offers an optical zoom of 5x and has 15-1/2000 sec of shutter speed. Canon A2500 has 2.7 inch screen with 230k LCD monitor. It has a program mode which allows you to adjust white balance, EV, metering mode, ISO and drive mode.
This is a highly portable device with a unique touch and feel. The lithium-ion battery makes A2500 compact and light. The D-pad at the rear comprises of soft buttons for video recording, help, playback and menu. This time Canon comes with a slight change in the button functions; the left button toggles the eco mode and the Up-button toggles the auto mode which is helpful when you want hassel-free shooting. Canon A2500 is capable of recording videos at 30 frames per second. As mentioned before, this is a camera for beginners; this camera only allows a little flexibility only over focus and exposure. The noise is well controlled up to ISO 200.
However, Nikon launched a 20.0 Megapixel camera named Coolpix L28 which slightly less priced than Canon A2500. Then why would you go for A2500? Firstly, the buttons and feel of carrying A2500 are better than Nikon Coolpix L28; secondly, although the lens of Coolpix L28 is slightly wider than A2500, but the image quality of A2500 is much better.
